DMD Weathering Steel

The newest building at Antelope Valley College is a two-story, 61,882 square-foot Student Services building which marks a significant enhancement to the campus. This state-of-the-art facility, made possible by the $350 million Measure AV bond, serves as the central hub for students and the community, offering an array of essential services in one location.
Dissimilar Metal Design provided full-service design and delivery of the exterior metal facade. This included coordination, engineering, detailing, fabrication and finishing for the latest buildings at Antelope Valley College. The finished result includes fully fabricated and installed weathering steel panels and perforated weathering steel.
The Student Services building is one of a number that DMD is providing with its weathering steel panels on the campus.
Designed by Gensler, the Student Services building is a one-stop shop for students, housing essential services such as enrollment, financial aid, job placement, mental health facilities, and the Veterans Resource Center. This comprehensive facility significantly enhances the student experience, promoting success and well-being.
