DMD Weathering Steel
2012
The Barclays Center is a 675,000 square foot multi-purpose indoor arena in Brooklyn, New York. The facility was constructed using DMD Weathering Steel designed by SHoP Architects designed to evoke the iconic rustic look of Brooklyn’s brownstones. Groundbreaking occurred on March 11, 2010, and the arena was opened to the public on September 21, 2012. The arena hosts the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, along with concerts, conventions, and is the new home of the NY Islanders of the NHL.
