Introducing Three Mile Outlook, a residential project showcasing Weathering Steel Fabrication by Dissimilar Metal Design. Situated on a silt bluff overlooking Three Mile Beach in Penticton, British Columbia, this vineyard residence boasts distinctive weathering steel elements both on the exterior and interior.
Chosen for its durability and unique ability to develop a natural patina, the weathering steel panels contribute to a sophisticated design within a subdued material palette of calm greys and off-whites. This intentional choice harmonizes with the coastal climate, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes.
The weathering steel panels play a pivotal role in marking essential transitions within the home, seamlessly guiding from the entry to the primary bedroom wing and the living room fireplace. Beyond visual enhancement, this integration aligns with the architectural vision, showcasing the seamless fusion of form and function.
Completed in 2022, Three Mile Outlook stands as a collaborative achievement. Architectural design by Will Green, structural engineering by Elemental Structural Engineers, and construction by Ritchie Custom Homes.
